V2 Cigs are relatively new in the e cig world, being formed in 2010. They are however one of the fastest growing brands out there.

With their recent entry into the UK e cigarette market we take a closer look at one of V2cigs best selling starter kits.

Battery Responsiveness

So much for the price and flavour, how about the way in which V2 Cigs actually work? The heart of the system, of course, is the battery which powers the atomiser and its responsiveness to the vaper’s use.

V2’s solution is an all in one atomiser and battery – or cartomiser – which can be chosen ordered in either manual or automatic variations, along with a range of different colours and a choice of two sizes.

The choice between automatic and manual is again largely a matter of personal choice. With the former, of course, the e-cig works the moment you inhale because the battery is activated automatically; the manual version needs you to depress a small button on the side of the e-cig whenever you want to take a drag. Some people reckon that the manual versions let you develop a slightly greater volume of vapour.

The colours and minimalist design help to make the V2 Cig a sleek looking and attractive product with nothing too fussy by way of decoration.

In size, the V2 – at 79mm – may be slightly longer than a number of other brands, but there is a distinctly quality feel about them that largely overcomes any great inconvenience. Nonetheless, if you are especially concerned about the length, a smaller – 67mm – version is also available.

When you need them, the cost of replacement batteries will probably strike you as a little on the expensive side – currently, almost £15 each. Tell yourself that each battery is very nicely designed and finished, with multiple recharging opportunities, however, and the price can be seen in a more attractive light.

The portable charging case that helps keep your batteries fully charged whilst you’re on the move is likely a very sensible investment. One tip, though, is to remember to buy it as part of a kit (Standard Plus, Ultimate or Travel) since to buy one separately can prove slightly expensive, at £33.85.

The Verdict - Both battery styles are very responsive with a good quality finish. The only downside is the £15 price tag on replacement batteries.

Vapour/Flavour

It’s not going to matter a great deal whatever is in the box, however, unless you can count on the flavour and a decent volume of vapour.

If it’s a wide range of possible flavours you’re after, then V2 might well be the brand for you. Quite honestly, the choice is staggering: from chocolate or coffee, cola or vanilla, menthol or peppermint and even cherry.

The verdict: the volume of vapour produced and the flavour you get from vaping any one of the tobacco e-liquids is smooth and gives a subtle hit in your throat. The non-tobacco flavours deliver an equally satisfying volume of vapour, together with the full, smooth taste of the flavour you’ve chosen.

V2 Cigs Review – Overall

Personally, I’d give V2 Cigs somewhere very near top marks in terms of flavour, the amount of vapour produced and battery life. On top of this you get the ability to tailor or customise the e-cigs to suit your particular, personal likes and dislikes. What’s more, the whole process from initial order to final delivery is as seamless as you could expect.

When it comes to customer service, V2 also seem to have just the right note (unlike competitors, Sky Cigs, for instance who until recently seemed to be struggling to match the quality of its customer services in the UK to the overall quality of its product). V2 seem to have learnt a lesson from Sky Cigs that it’s simply not good enough to offer customer support only by email and that telephone support at the very least needs to be available, too. Although SKYCIG have recently made steps to be more accessible to the consumer by opening customer service phone lines.

All in all, therefore, V2 Cigs appear to have found just the right product, an efficient ordering and delivery process, and customer service designed to provide just the level of support you might want. Definitely a contender for the likes of Green Smoke and Jacvapour.
