V2 Cigs Pro Series 3: V2’s Performance E Cigarette.
V2 Cigs are one of the better known, bigger brands in the e cigarette market. Having become one of the best selling e cig brands in the USA they turned their attention to Europe with their V2 Cigs cig-a-like product which does a great job in it’s category.
With the growing popularity for vapers to have longer battery life with the addition of clearomiser tanks V2 have designed an e cig called the V2 Pro Series 3.
This product was received free of charge for the purposes of this review. As always I will give my honest thoughts on the e cigarette.
The packaging is very simple with a moulded plastic insert inside a cardboard sleeve that contains the following:
- 1 X 650 Mah Battery
- 1 X Clearomiser
- Magnetic USB charger
- Instruction manual
Build & Design of the V2 Pro Series 3
From first looks the V2 Pro looks like any other normal EGO/Pen style battery. Look a little closer though and there is a big big difference. You may be familiar with screwing a clearomiser/tank to the top of a standard e-cig kit so it sits on top of the battery, giving you in essence to separate pieces of kit.
The Pro is also a 2 part device but the tank here slots ‘into’ the top of the battery so it appears concealed, one seamless tube. The way it slots in is simple but clever, rather than having a 510/EGO threading the Prod is magnetic. Just drop the tank in and it snaps right into place and is held firm. This is a great feature and one that works very well.
In terms of the looks and feel of the device is simple but well built. I like the seamless design that hides the tank, the only concern for me would be the tank capacity but that’s something I will come to in the next section. The power button is a similar design to the EVOD batteries in that it’s flush to the body of the battery. Definitely a plus in my eyes, no more buttons sticking out and getting accidentally pressed. Although it is still recommended to use the batteries 3 click on/off function.
There are also two small windows so you can see the remaining juice you have left in the tank. This, like many other designs like this don’t work very well for me. The slits are just that little bit too small and make it hard to see (for me at least) how much e-liquid is remaining. Good thing here though is you can quickly pull out the tank and drop it back in, checking your juice levels takes 2 seconds.
There are three colour options, black, steel and blue. As you can see I received the blue for this review. It looks the part though and I personally like the colour.
How does the V2 Pro Series 3 Performance?
In short id does a great job. The battery isn’t the biggest capacity I have seen but at 650 Mah it still got me, a moderate vaper, through 6 hours of uninterrupted vaping. If you are a heavier vaper then you may find charging becomes a more frequent thing and this battery life may not be enough for your needs.
One thing to also keep in mind here is that the Pro Series 3 can be charged and vaped at the same time which I really like to see as a feature in my electronic cigarettes. The charging needs to be done when the power button light begins to flash double blinks. To re-charge is super simple with the magnetic USB charging cable, lie the clearomiser it slots on magnetically rather than having to screw.
Are there any issues with the Pro? There are two for me personally but this is an area you will need to decide on as these so caalled ‘issues’ won’t matter to the majority of vapers out there.
The first is the lack of a variable voltage/wattage setting so you an have more control of the power output. Like I said not an issue for most vapers that are considering the V2 Pro but something to keep in mind. V2 have purposely not included this kind of function as they want to keep this vapouriser as simple and straightforward to use as possible which I totally get.
The other is down to the magnetic connection. I personally think this is a great feature that works very well but this means that the Series 3 isn’t compatible with anything else. The last is down to lack of spare battery. This is essentially a disposable product and while it will of course last you a long time it will ultimately die and need to be replaced. To do this means buying the whole kit again as at the time of writing there were no spare batteries available to buy independently.
Overall – The V2 Pro Series 3 looks great and I love the magnetic connectors for both the charger and clearomiser. They work a treat. The only slight downside is the lack of spare battery option, 60 Mah battery life and compatibility although this is me being picky and it likely won’t be issues for most vapers.

Clearomiser Design, Build & Performance
The connector for the cartridge is not only magnetic (and works very well) but it also has some other nifty built in tech. It is designed in a way that it is recognised by the battery.
Why would it need to do this? The reason why is that the V2 Pro Series 3 has been designed to work with three different types of ingredients which all need a different cartridge in order to vapourise. I am using the e-liquid cartridge in this review but it can also be used with loose leaf and essential oil.
Now the latter two are something I don’t currently have use for but for those that do this is a winning feature for sure. The really clever thing here is that the battery works differently with each cartridge, you don’t have to change any settings simply drop the cartridge in from any of the above forms and the device automatically recognises which one it is. Very clever indeed.
So back to the e-liquid cartridge.
E-liquid is not included in the starter kit so if you don’t have any be sure to add it to your order. V2 Cigs have a great choice available on their site. Filling the tank itself is easy, just unscrew the mouthpiece and drip down the inner wall avoiding the center tube.
The capacity of the tank is a reasonable 1.6ml and you should be able to refill this around 15 times before you need to replace it, it will cost £7.99 for a replacement.
Performance wise no issues whatsoever. The vapour volume was fantastic and the flavour that the cartridge helped produce was also very good.
So plenty for people to be getting stuck into!
Overall – The flavour and vapour produced is very good and I’m a big fan of the magnetic connection. If I’m being picky i would have been nice to see replaceable coil heads rather than having to buy a whole new cartridge but again this is made for beginners to start vaping with minimum fuss.
V2 Cigs UK allow for a 14 day return on this particular product. They cannot refund though if the cartridges have been used due to the disposable nature of the product.
A 6 month warranty is also offered. Please check the Buyv2cigs website for full terms.
The UK V2 Cigs customer service is very good and they can be contacted by phone and email.
There is a 10% V2 Cigs Coupon Code we have found that works. The coupon code can be found at the top of the page or the link below.
V2 Cigs Review – Overall
Overall I think the V2 Pro Series 3 is a great e cigarette for beginners and it’s excellent for those that want to use loose leaf and essential oils and want a ‘one stop’ device.
This is a quick summary of my thoughts:
- Plug and play, very easy for new vapers to pick up and start using in minutes.
- The Magnetic connections (cartridge & charger) are a great feature and work very well.
- Can be used as a pass through device ie: vape whilst it is on charge.
- The option of using Loose Leaf and Essential Oils cartridges on one device.
- No leaking from the cartridge and the flavour was good.
The not so good
- Battery life may be too small for the heavier vapers
- No spare batteries available to buy separately.
- Quite an expensive e cig kit. (Although if you use Loose Leaf as well it may be good value)
